National Technical Honor Society Induction Ceremony

We inducted approximately 100 students into the National Technical Honor Society on April 5, 2022. This organization exists to recognize and honor students in Career and Technical Education.
We are very proud of each of the students. We also know this honor is a result of a cooperative effort of a student’s hard work, parental support, and dedication from your teachers. A big thank you to the advisors Ms. James and Mr. Hughes for all your work to make this event possible.
Career Exploration Leadership Academy
In October 2021 our school launched the Career Exploration Leadership Academy headed by our instructor Robert Schmid.
The purpose of this new program is to bring 8th grade students from the five Raleigh County middle schools to spend time learning more about the opportunities available in career and technical education career paths.
While in our building these prospective future students are exposed and work hands-on in a variety of career and technical programs on various projects.
There is also time for these students to work on English and Math for part of the time they are here. Here are some pictures of just a few of the projects they have been involved in so far.
