Dental Assisting

Program Description: Students are trained to work directly with the dentist to prepare materials, pass instruments, operate equipment, and assist with patients. Secretarial skills are incorporated into the program.

Length: 1080 hours (2 year program - 8 credits)

Employment Opportunities: Dental assistant, dental lab technician.

Opportunities for Further Study: Prepares students for a career in the dental field or for further study in dental hygiene or dentistry.

Recommended prerequisites: C average in CATS 10.
