Van Carr is the Building Trades Instructor at ACT. He has been with the Raleigh County Board of Education for over 35 years. The first 15 years, Van worked as a vocational evaluator for high school dropouts and 5 years as a dropout prevention coordinator. He spent 3 years working with elementary students in a prevocational program. He has been the Building Trades Instructor for 12 years and is now supervising the building of the 8th modular house. He has state certifications in Building Trades Related, Building Trades Maintenance, Building Trades and is a certified NCCER instructor. His leisure time is spent on his farm and hunting.
