PHLEBOTOMY
Description: Trained to collect the blood necessary for diagnostic testing.
Prerequisites: Student must have a high school diploma or GED; First 26 students accepted who meet all other requirements.
Length: 20 weeks (170 hours) 90 classroom and 80 clinical
Time: Monday and Wednesday from 6 – 9 pm
Topics Covered: Safety and Legal Issues, Anatomy, Blood Collection Procedures, Non-Blood Specimens and Tests, Computer and Laboratory Mathematics and Clinical Training
Students Accepted: Yearly in August
